Working Internationally Regional Project

The Working Internationally Regional Project aims to facilitate regional and local museums and galleries to develop the confidence and skills to work internationally.

The purpose of the project is:

- To develop a clearer picture of English museums and galleries' involvement in international work and the challenges they face;

- Organise five workshops (one in each ACE area) to practically address the needs of museums who are ready to engage in international projects;

- Research the feasibility of a mentoring scheme for smaller museums with ambitions to work internationally;

- Create a resources section on the ICOM UK website based on the outcomes of the research and workshops.

Working internationally is defined in the broadest sense and includes projects in the UK with international communities and international partners and organisations.
